Ozren Outdoor

Ozren is rich with water. There are elders’ stories that some springs on this mountain are miraculous. It is delimited with rivers, from the west with Bosna river, from the east with Spreča river and on the south slopes with one of the most beautiful mountain rivers in Bosnia and Herzegovina – Krivaja river. Inside this area there are numerous water sources, streams, curative and mineral waters like the location Kiseljaci in Sočkovac. The curative alkaline water bottling facility was built on Prenja river. Three biggest river walleys in Ozren are those of Jadrina, Bukovica and Rakovac rivers. The spring of thermomineral water in Kakmuž is put into use as the part of water complex – “Terme Ozren”, nearby Petrovo, and it is scientifically proven that it helps in healing various diseases.  There are two small artificial lakes in Ozren – Goransko Lake nearby Doboj and Orlovo Lake nearby Petrovo. You can always refresh yourself on numerous Ozren streams, watermills still grind grains in the old-fashioned way, and the sightseeing of mountain rivers like Jadrina in October are is memorable experience. Bosna river is favourite fishing place of many anglers, while Spreča river is temporary habitat of migratory and some wading birds. Spreča river valley is well known by pheasant and migratory birds hunting.
