The number of participants increases every year, and from the small local event the marathon reached international level in 2008, when hikers from Hungary - Bálint Őrsi, Galfi Csaba and Anita Szilági won the Big Marathon.
6th International “Ozren Hiking Marathon 2010” took place on 5th and 6th of June on Ozren mountain. The organisers of this international event were: Petrovo municipality, municipal sport association "Petrovo" from Petrovo and hiking club "Ozren - Kraljica 883" from Petrovo. Approximately 400 hikers participated. Apart from local hiking fans, individuals and clubs from Hungary, France, Bulgaria and Serbia also participated. In total, all 53 hikers who entered the competition successfully completed Medium Marathon trail; first participants crossed the finish line at 14:40 hours. Seven hikers showed up at the start of Big Marathon trail, and six of them completed this most demanding and longest trail.
The ultra-marathon runner Željko Blagojević Čaki from Čelinac made true accomplishment, completing Big Marathon trail in 18 hours and 50 minutes time. It is worth pointing out that the organisers of the event also organised cooking competition named "Golden Pot of Ozren”. The event took place on 4th of June 2010 in the hikers’ lodging, with the following results:
1st place the team of "Borovo Municipality" from Borovo, Croatia;
2nd place the team of "Kuhinja Petrovo" from Petrovo;
3rd place the team "Šoca" from Petrovo.
