Walking is good for your health! Regular walking, for only half an hour per day, will reduce the risks of getting various diseases and will strengthen your body. Replace city rush and car driving with the walk through the nature. Walking is the kind of activity that does not require expensive equipment and special conditions, and the nature is sport hall open to everyone! Ozren has fantastic conditions for recreational hiking, with the trails marked in accordance with the hiking standards. The north part of Ozren mountain is well connected with mountain forest paths, dirt and asphalt roads and with easy access to the most important checkpoints, which allows for routes combination according to individual affinities. One thing is certain, wherever you go and whichever route you pick, you will enjoy in the forests made of pine, birch and oak trees, view from dominant peaks, plethora of water streams and springs, out if which some have exquisite healing characteristics.

The part of Ozren region that belongs to the Republic of Srpska, is covered by activities of two hiking associations: Hiking-ecological association “PED Preslica“ located in Doboj and hiking association “Ozren – Kraljica 883“ located in Petrovo. Apart from mountaineering and hiking, they also offer:
• Transport to and from remote location depending upon route taken

• Opportunity to visit village households and other historic, sport and catering facilities
• Accommodation at hikers’ lodging “Kraljica”, eko-centre “Pčelica” in Brezici, or village tourist households.
