- Low-lying part that extends alongside rivers Bosna and Spreča, where predominant hunting game is feathered and wildfowl game, duck, pheasant and hare.
- Hilly/mountainous part is hunting-ground with the altitude over 400 m. Here you can hunt for roe-deer, wild boar, fox and wolf.
Hunting techniques practiced in our area can be divided in accordance to the kind of game being hunt, as follows:
- Small game is hunted classically, by circular hunt with dogs or scouting the terrain with bird-dogs
- Wildfowl game is hunted by ambushing during overfly or in engineless boats
- Roe-deer game is hunted by blind hunting or by calling during the mating season
- Wild boar is hunted by driving
- Wolf is hunted by stand hunting from the high shooting stand
Currently, daily fee for roe-deer hunting is 60 KM (approx. 31 €), while the daily fee for the small game hunting is 20 KM (approx. 11 €) per hunter, and includes: entrance to the hunting-ground, escort, processing of a trophy, evaluation of a trophy. The lowest valued trophy, expressed in financial value amounted to 280 KM (approx 145 €). Current price of meat of killed game is 15KM (approx. 8€) per kilogram. The prices for the trophy kill and meat are set by the RS Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Waterpower. The Ministry also determines hunting calendar and close season.
Hunters Association "Fazan" from Doboj is ready for every new hunting season, when it comes to commercial hunting. What our association can offer on the quite high level is the hunting of pheasants. In previous years, hunters from Italy used to kill up to twenty pheasants each, in the few days of hunting. They expressed their satisfaction with both hunting-ground and game quantity, which is confirmed through their repeated visits year after year. Apart from pheasant hunting, we can certainly organise excellent hunting parties on roe-deer, wild boar and partridge. In cooperation with the agritourism households, guest hunters can find pleasant accommodation in the vicinity of hunting-ground, and also bring their own dogs that will be accommodated as well.
