Pelagićevo Lake was created in the sixties of 20th century, by the excavation of gravel needed for the construction of the main road. Lake complex has the area of about 80 ha, out of which 33 ha is the water surface.
From the very beginning, sport fishing became popular at the lake, due to which water bailiff service was established, whose task was to prevent unsportsmanlike methods of fishing, to feed the fish and to take care about the fish stock, and about the appearance of the whole lake complex... In June 2005, the first CARP CUP PELAGIĆEVO was organised, which is now a prestigious event of its kind with many participants from abroad, mostly from Germany.
