Ozren Outdoor

This lake is only 7 km away from Doboj, in the vicinity of Jošava village.

Once the stories about water springs of Ozren and their miraculous healing effects circulated and passed the legacy to a new generations. Today, we whiteness that many people bottle and drink water from Ozren springs, and there is a water bottling plant built on Prenja river. One single village Osojnica has some 25 sources of water.

Family house Spasojević located in Pridjel has been reconstructed to serve as a pension. It is located just 5 kilometers from the city center, on the main road from Doboj to Preslica recreational site and Okolišta plateau.

Orlovo Lake is only few kilometres away from Petrovo, if you go upstream of the most beautiful river Jadrina. This small lake, the size of a big swimming pool, is excellent sanctuary from the summer heat, because it is located inside the natural rock formation. It is excellent place to stop and rest if you walk around or ride a bike!

Hiking and Ecology Club “Preslica“ from Doboj is founded on 14th of February 2009 with the aim to maintain the hiking tradition in the Doboj municipality while continuing the operation of hiking club “Lukijana Radojčić“ and hiking group of the sport association “St. George“ from Doboj.

The highest peak of Ozren massif is VELIKA OSTRAVICA (918 m asl), while other significant peaks are:  Krstata Ploča (893 m asl), Kraljica (883 m asl), Bojište (848 m asl), Kamenički Vis (816 m asl), Veliki Brijeg (782 m asl), Gostilj (773 m asl), Preslica - Grebić Kosa (341 m asl).  The most important river valleys in Ozren are those of the rivers:  Jadrina (origins beneath Kraljica and joins Spreča river), Jablanica (springs in Gornja Bukovica and joins Bosna river nearby Maglaj), Bukovica (joins Turija river that flows into Modrac lake).

Biking club Doboj has started developing and promoting biking as a sport and recreational activity having the first MTB routes done on Ozren by the members of our two mountaineering associations. The club is existing since 2010, currently gathering 30 active members both men and women that we particularly emphasise.

MODRIČA, 21.JUNA 2010 - On Sunday afternoon in Modriča was held the Third International Cycling Race "Grand Prix Modriča" in which participated 44 participants from home and abroad. The race was divided into two categories, hobbies and licensed players.

If you feel attracted by this sport, and you’re interested into trying something brand new, with us you can learn basics of this skill through the paragliding course organised by our club. The course consists of the theoretical part, and field practice, including the tandem flight. This short course is intended to be two-day outdoor activity (depending upon weather conditions), which will help you to test yourself and determine if this beautiful sport is the right thing for you. Of course you need much more training and practice in order to become real flyer with the paraglider, which this course certainly can’t provide due to being conceived as just the first step – to make you fall in love with this sport!
